Get Your Feet on the “Ground” with Chris Holzinger

Originally from the south of Germany, Chris Holzinger moved to Berlin, in his words, “because of the huge creative possibilities and versatile influences for launching the label.”

After graduating from the University of Applied Sciences Pforzheim in 2005, Chris did just that and launched his eponymous label three years later, focusing on the creative threefold concept of genuineness, valency, and uniqueness.

Fascinated by traditional men’s tailoring, Chris holds to the ideals of timeless standards, pure simplicity, and wearable functionality, all of which enable him to accentuate each man’s individuality in a modern silhouette that reflects contemporary elegance.

Forceful functionalism, progressive purism, modern minimalism—this trinity of aesthetics has culminated in a secure, self-confident image for spring/summer 2010, which is grounded in dignity, calmness, and relaxation.

A natural, muted palette heightens the construction of traditional tailoring, as Chris returns to the manual basics in “Ground.”

Void of dispensable decorations, the collection is “down to earth” for the unpretentious kind of guy who wants to keep both feet on the ground.
