25 Years of Mexican Fashion at Intermoda

Mexico means many things to many people: beach destinations, ancient indigenous cultures, mariachi bands, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and hot tamales. How about fashion?!

For the past 25 years, the city of Guadalajara—Mexico’s second most populous metropolitan area—has been host to a significant international trade show, not only for Mexico but also Latin America.

Last week, from July 21-24, Intermoda celebrated its silver anniversary, attracting nearly 20,000 visitors from around the world as it showcased some of Mexico's best menswear designers. The organizers of Intermoda should definitely be proud of their success.

Well, there was some pride strutting down the runway, several times, with Mexico’s menswear label, Proud.

Exalting the ideals of fun and success in life, Proud’s collections reflect both the history of Intermoda and the philosophy of its young group of designers, which they sum up as: love what you do, love what you are, and enjoy life—but, most of all, be proud of yourself!

Proud is based in Guadalajara and sold throughout 8 cities of Mexico.
