Royal Hem & “Take Ivy” by Teruyoshi Hayashida

Inspired image after image from the book “Take Ivy,” Pier Paolo Pennesi—Royal Hem's brand ambassador—embraced these influences applying them as some of the principal guidelines for the[2011/12] fall/winter Royal Hem collection and his ideal role model: a young, preppy dandy with elegant charm.
A “Royal Recrafted Hem” selection also features within the collection. It is made up of hand finished pieces with extra Royal effects.

The choices of fabrics used are the results of extensive research into new ultra luxurious fabric mixes and colour way combinations-a continual labour of love for the brand.

Merino wool, jersey, basket washed wool, kid mohair effect denim, triple-ply wool, cotton wool, tweed and Shetland are mixed together all feature.

The colour palette features cool tones of amaranth reds, English greens and turtledove colourways through to more classical autumn blues, gray and deepest blacks.

Jabito
The Jabito is a Royal Hem exclusive and a must have wardrobe item. It is composed of a jacket and trousers made of wool in the same fiber but playing with diverse yet complementary patterns.

The two pieces play off of each other for example the lapels of the jacket feature in the same broken fabric as used for the trouser or the contrast for the trouser pocket flap detail and finally all feature a lime green Royal Hem Pochette.

Fabrics: Super tactile 120 wools with micro-jacquard patterns. Colours: greys through to blues.
Inspired by and pays homage to: the magnificent retro composé of Pierre Cardin.
