Palladium—on the Hudson for Winter 2010

Following last year's successful relaunch, Palladium has introduced their Winter 2010 collection, consisting of more luxurious materials and updated silhouettes.

New styles for men include:

Baggy Leather S
Inspired by bomber jackets, Palladium uses aniline, antiqued cracked leather for the outsole and Shearling lining for warmth and comfort. Available in black and root beer (brown,).

Baggy Leather in Sunrise/Chocolate
Another style also inspired by bomber jackets, these rugged vegetable-dyed leather boots keep looking better and better after each use.

Pampa Tactical
This calf-height boot features rubberized full-grain leather combined with ballistic nylon, with an inner ankle zipper and stash pocket on the tongue.

The look book was shot on Dry Dock 4—an out-of-use part of the expansive Brooklyn Naval Yard on the waterfront of the Hudson River.

This place is full of abandoned ship parts, cranes, and small building from a time gone by. Dry Dock 4 is most famous for being the place where the USS Brooklyn was built and launched.

Urban Explorations by Palladium

Palladium’s Fall 2010 look book features images from the latest in a series of urban explorations that the heritage boot brand has undertaken.

Featuring Johnny Knoxville, ‘Detroit Lives’ takes viewers on an “off-the-beaten path” exploration through the Motor City to discover if there’s more to Detroit than the scenes of destruction and abandonment that it’s become known for.

The exploration takes us into abandoned buildings and urban terrain, which serve as the backdrop for the imager—all shot by New York artist and photographer, Peter Sutherland.

About Palladium
Palladium was founded in 1920 to make aircraft tires for the aviation industry. In 1947, after the end of WWII saw demand for tires dry up, Palladium put their canvas and rubber expertise to use by making boots that were as hard wearing as their tires.

Palladium soon became outfitters of the legendary French Foreign Legion with their classic canvas Pampa boot. Over 60 years later the timeless design of Palladium’s signature Pampa boot is as relevant as ever and available once again for explorers worldwide.
