Gideon Tam developed a fascination with knitwear from an early age as he was inspired by his mother’s woolens factory.
He later went on to deepen his devotion to knitwear by studying menswear design in London.
Five years after graduating in 2001, Gideon launched his label Placed by Gideon, which is now being carried by high-end stockists around the world.
Silk, cashmere, camel hair, lavish skins, and superfine merino are some of the premium, long-lasting materials in Gideon’s collections.
Layering, collars, hoods, and mismatched stitching are some of the characteristics of Placed by Gideon.
An interplay of texture, fur trims, and multi-strand accessories heighten the excitement of every collection.
