Yesterday I published a press release from Marc O’Polo, which was launched in 1967 by two Swedish designers, Rolf Lind and Göte Huss, and their American colleague, Jerry O’Sheets.
The label was founded on the concepts of naturalness, simplicity, quality, personality, and innovation, all of which have proven to be the pillars of the company’s success for the past 40 years.
For the 2010 autumn/winter collection, Marc O’Polo takes us on a journey of “Cool Hunting.” The collection focuses on the brand’s roots in the classic style, tradition, and authentic value.
Modern interpretations create the perfect interplay of “neo-classic” and “new tradition,” resulting in a modern, sporty look that is very Nordic.
According to Marc O’Polo, the collection for:
“People who live their own personal lifestyle amid an urban environment, who are sensitive to changes, who rejoice at new life, who take a critical stance to the global world we live in. People who open their arms to passion and are eager to search and find, who prefer narrow, winding paths to broad, busy roads.”
The color palette spans from olive and mocha to cinnamon and blackberry.
