Collection
The new Hackett Autumn Winter collection runs the style gamut from impeccably tailored suiting and shirting through to chunky knitwear, modern tweeds and even performance garments, reinforcing Hackett’s reputation for fusing tradition and modernity.

This season’s Mayfair collection features slimmed-down tailored silhouettes from fine gauge polo tops to more formal topcoats, plus the launch of a Mayfair luggage with Globe-Trotter.

The Alpine and Winter Spa collections feature double face cashmere knitwear, cotton cashmere shirting and charming fair isle knitwear with wool padded down jackets. These collections and are a nod to Hackett’s association with the Klosters Snow Polo tournament and draw from all areas of alpine activity.

Designers—Win Cash and Fight Prostate Cancer with 2wink!

Australian Underwear Brand 2Wink Offers Chance to Design Brand’s Next Pair
Proceeds from Winning Design to Help Fight Men’s Prostate Cancer

LOS ANGELES [July 1, 2010] – 2wink Australia, one of Australia’s most popular men’s underwear companies, knows who understands underwear best—those who buy it. Keeping that in mind, the brand has now enlisted the help of this supportive demographic to discover the brand’s newest collection—by having them create it themselves.

The brand’s current promotional campaign, “A Chance 2Design,” will offer underwear fanatics a fun and innovative opportunity to find their inner fashionista by allowing them to design their very own pair of limited-edition underwear with a chance to win large prizes, such as a AU$200 2wink gift voucher, or even a grand prize of AU$1,500 cash.

Starting today, contestants can either manually or digitally design an entire pair of underwear and enter their original designs into the online design competition.

After the eight-week-long submissions process ends, three celebrity judges, including reality TV star Jack Mackenroth (Project Runway), award-winning comedienne Deven Green (“Welcome to My…” parody series) and Pinstripe Magazine Editor-in-Chief Marv Valladares, will enter various rounds of judging over the course of two weeks before selecting the winning design, taking into account factors like the best use of color, most creative pattern and other criteria.

Once the winning design is chosen by the team of judges, the brand expects to have 5,000 limited-edition pairs manufactured within eighteen weeks and ready to hit 2wink’s on-line store shelves shortly after. 2wink will donate 50-percent of its net sales profits of the winning design directly to fight prostate cancer.

Currently, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men, behind only lung cancer. A non-smoking man is more likely to develop prostate cancer than he is to develop colon, bladder, melanoma, lymphoma and kidney cancer combined. This year, in America alone, more than 32,000 men will die from the disease and more than 218,000 new cases will be diagnosed, according to Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Contest entries must be received no later than August 26, 2010. All original designs are eligible and contestants must design the entire pair. All colors are allowed and the waistband width is 4 cm. Entries must be submitted via e-mail in either .pdf or .jpg format to events@2wink.com.au.

All designs entered will become the property of 2wink Pty. Ltd., which reserves the right to manufacture any design without compensation or with notifying the entrant. The winner of the contest must be willing to sign a release form. Entries must include name, mailing address and contact details for participant.

For more information on the “A Chance 2Design” campaign, or to purchase 2wink underwear, visit 2Wink.

“Sport Your Seersucker” by Haspel

CELEBRATE A CENTURY OF AMERICAN STYLE BY SHOWING OFF HOW YOU “SPORT YOUR SEERSUCKER”

Enter Your Unique Seersucker Look for a Chance to Win a Trip for Two to New Orleans

Macy’s Men’s Fashion Director and MR Magazine Editor-in-Chief
Among Contest Judges

How do you sport your seersucker? Haspel, the iconic American menswear brand best known for creating the seersucker suit, is casting a search for the most unique ways people fashion the signature style as part of its “Sport Your Seersucker” contest. The grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to New Orleans, the city where Haspel was founded and the seersucker suit was born.

From now until August 15, 2010, consumers can visit Haspel to submit their individual seersucker looks. Entries will be judged on creativity and originality. The judges include Laurie Haspel Aronson, President, Haspel; Jeffrey Ammeen, Creative Director, Haspel; Durand Guion, Vice President, Men's Fashion Director, Macy's; Karen Alberg Grossman, Editor-in-Chief, MR Magazine and Steven Sicular, Managing Partner-Creative, Graj & Gustavsen. For additional information on how to enter and official rules visit Haspel.

“As part of seersucker’s resurgence this season, we are seeing it worn in more modern ways - paired with jeans, shorts, T-shirts, tuxedo shirts and even motorcycle jackets,” said Jeffrey Ammeen, Haspel’s creative director. “Haspel is challenging people across the nation to tap into their inner trendsetters and submit their most creative, individual seersucker looks.”

Finalists will be featured on the Haspel web site beginning June 15 and the grand prize winner will chosen by the panel of judges. The grand prize includes coach airfare for two from anywhere in the United States, transportation to and from the airport, a three-night hotel stay, dinner for two each night in some of New Orleans’ finest restaurants, breakfast each day and a tour of the French Quarter.

Haspel History
Founded in New Orleans in 1909, Haspel operated as a small manufacturer of men’s workwear – until a lightweight Indian fabric known as seersucker forever changed what was in store. Joseph Haspel’s suit solution for Louisiana’s blazing summer heat became the brand’s signature item, propelling Haspel’s popularity beyond its southern roots, while making an indelible mark on American menswear.

In the following decades, Haspel continued to expand its offerings, attracting new enthusiasts with its bold colors and classic sensibilities. It also pushed the envelope of innovation with new fabrics and materials. The tradition continues today.

With its 2010 collections, Haspel has sought to capture and reinterpret its heritage as a family-owned brand whose patriarch famously never wore socks and publicized “wash-and-wear” fabric by swimming suit-clad in the Atlantic Ocean. The clothes reflect polish without pretention, anchored by an iconic style that’s never been out of fashion.
