Abby Abadi
Melihat lakonan bersahajanya dengan gaya penampilan yang agak pelik pasti penonton akan terhibur ditambah pula dengan aksi lucu yang dilakonkannya dalam drama bersiri Manjalara.
Namun bagi pelakon Abby Abadi bukan mudah untuk membuat orang ketawa, justeru banyak kajian yang dilakukan untuk menghidupkan wataknya dalam drama tersebut. Namun begitu, Abby mengakui sedikit kecewa kerana lakonan yang sebegitu jarang dipandang dan dihargai oleh orang lain.
Sebaliknya watak-watak ringan yang dilakonkannya lebih mendapat tumpuan dan perhatian contohnya seperti watak Inspektor polis dalam drama bersiri Gerak Khas. Terbaru Abby baru sahaja tamat penggambaran drama bersiri Vice Versa terbitan Ace Motion Pictures Sdn Bhd arahan Aziz M Osman.
Meskipun hanya melakonkan watak ringan dalam drama tersebut, Abby mengalami masalah sepanjang penggambaran disebabkan hamil anak ketiga yang telahpun berusia 12 minggu. Bersyukur dengan rezeki yang diberikan, Abby sangat berterima kasih dengan pihak penerbitan yang banyak membantu dan memahami keadaannya ketika itu dan Abby berjaya menghabiskan jadual penggambarannya sehingga selesai.
“Ketika mendapat skrip dan tawaran mengenai drama ni saya tak tahu yang saya sedang hamil. Tapi setelah menjalani penggambaran saya mengalami alahan yang teruk sehingga muntah-muntah dan pengsan. Akibat dari itu 2 hari saya dimasukkan ke hospital dan barulah saya tahu yang saya sedang mengandung. Tetapi demi komitmen kerja saya harus gagahkan diri untuk ke lokasi dan saya harus menghabiskan cepat scen saya agar tidak tertangguh lebih lama lagi.
Bercerita tentang wataknya dalam drama Vice Versa, Abby memegang watak seorang wanita yang berkahwin dengan lelaki yang baru memeluk agama Islam dan mendapat tentangan dari ibu suaminya.
Meskipun jika dilihat pada dasar watak ini sangat simple, namun Abby harus bermain dengan perasaan dalaman kerana tertekan dengan sikap ibu mertua yang tidak sukakan dirinya. Tidak pernah mengalami situasi begini, Abby bertuah kerana mendapat bimbingan dari para pelakon yang lain.
“Saya sukakan watak dalam drama ni. Buat pertama kalinya saya diberikan watak begini. Memang ia tidaklah mencabar tapi watak-watak beginilah yang sering memberi kesan pada penonton. Seperti dalam drama Manjalara, saya berasa agak terkilan. Seolah-olah orang tidak menghargai watak yang saya lakonkan.
“Bagi saya watak dalam drama Manjalara agak sukar dilakonkan kerana bukan mudah bagi seorang pelakon membuat penonton ketawa. Saya banyak membuat latihan agar watak gila-gila saya dalam drama tersebut menjadi ingatan pada penonton.
“Watak dalam drama Vice Versa pula, biarpun nampak mudah saya rasa agak kekok. Maklumlah saya tidak pernah melalui pengalaman tidak sebulu dengan mertua. Tapi bila harus melakonkan watak begini barulah saya dapat rasakan serta berkongsi pengalaman dengan mereka diluar sana yang mengalami masalah dengan mertua. Bahawa bukan mudah untuk melalui hari-hari yang mendatang di samping mertua yang tidak sukakan kita,” cerita Abby lagi dalam nada gembira mengenai kehamilannya.

Abby: I still want to divorce Norman
ACTRESS Abby Abadi is determined to divorce her husband Norman Hakim although he has tried to make up with her through the short messaging service, reported Harian Metro.
“I still want to get a divorce although I have received some SMS from him seeking reconciliation.
“I am no longer bothered to know about him and Memey. I do not know if they are getting married, the only thing I am sure is, I do not want to stand in their way,” she said.
On Norman expressing his willingness to take starlet Memey Suhaiza as his second wife, Abby said Norman was talking about marrying again when he had not fulfilled his responsibility to the family.
“My heart is really closed. Before he announce his intention, he needs to be sure that he is capable of doing so. The wife is not properly cared for now,” she said.
Abby said her intention to divorce Norman was not due solely to his khalwat case as she had wanted to do it sometime back.
“All I can say is, I can no longer take it. Many things have happened but I do not want to talk here,” she said, adding that she would win the divorce petition because Norman’s khalwat case was proof of “the bad things he had done to me.”
